One was already booking a ticket that day — hotel friends in Denver, not camping. Another was going, too old to camp, and called Commerce City the shittiest part of Colorado.
Max said he was pretty sure he would go. Friends in Denver. A week if it lined up. He had just bought a 2005 Accord. He could not buy show tickets or a flight until the other car sold. He wanted to camp. He did not want to camp alone.
No Ticketmaster. No Denver fare. No post-show mail. The hour in the archive is the ask, not the gate.
