Same morning as the 311 seats, Max booked the next run. Friday August 24, Memphis 7:00am to Atlanta 3:55pm. Sunday return at 1:30pm. Four fifty total — he only took one seat because he wanted the travel total under ten dollars. He said so to the crew.
April had already locked the tickets. Musictoday receipt, two hundred forty-two twenty: Friday Oak Mountain in Birmingham, reserved section 202. Saturday Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood, GA lawn. Two seats each night.
No thanks-for-attending landed in this inbox. The objects that did: the receipt, the four-fifty bus, the under-ten line.
The amphitheaters were on the paper. The hour the mail proves is the booking that kept the bus under a ten.
