A friend was getting married on a beach later. The bachelor week went the other way — Summit County, early March, ski if you wanted it and a lodge if you didn’t. Breckenridge, Keystone, A-Basin on the list. Sample window: settle Wednesday the 4th, ski Thursday through Saturday, leave Sunday the 8th.
Max Withdrawal locked Frontier into DEN Sunday, March 1 at 8:00pm and out Sunday the 8th at 2:19pm — $274 with the carry-on prepaid. Drew flew Delta the same Sunday, ATL 2:55pm into DEN 4:15pm, home Mar 8. An Audi airport shuttle got booked for the arrivals. Lodging came in around $150 a head for the house; Copper buddy passes and an A-Basin day were the cheap-ticket talk.
The crew showed. After, the mail was short: great trip, ski conditions, travel safe. Max’s line back was one sentence — that was an awesome week out west.
The beach wedding was the reason the week existed. The snow was the reason it wasn’t the beach.
