First Megabus, Panic Wood

December 8, 2011: Max Withdrawal opened a megabus.com account and booked the same afternoon. Memphis overnight out January 26 at 11:45pm, Atlanta Civic Center at 8:30 the next morning. Home January 30 at 1:30pm. Three fifty total — three dollars on the overnight leg, a free return, fifty cents to book. He forwarded the confirmation to the crew with one note: it cost an additional two dollars to book it on the phone.
The weekend was Tabernacle country — Widespread Panic’s three-day run. Live Nation later thanked him for attending. The fare was the first time the overnight seat became the vehicle.
The phone surcharge was two dollars. The habit was the three-fifty round trip.
